About Us

Welcome to Hope for the Future Visitation Center, where healing begins and families find connection.
Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, and home-like setting where children in foster care can engage in court-ordered, supervised visitations. We strive to help children stay connected with their families while fostering hope, healing, and meaningful relationships.
At Hope for the Future, our ultimate goal is to support the children and families we serve on their journey to reunite, once safety and stability are assured. Through quality services and compassionate care, we aim to strengthen family bonds and empower each member to move forward with confidence.
We see ourselves as a vital piece of the puzzle, working alongside community partners, organizations, and individuals to offer families the tools they need to heal and thrive. Together, we strive to build hope and resilience for those we serve.
Our Founder
Hope for the Future was born out of the vision and passion of Clotiel Howard, our Founder and Executive Director, whose inspiration came from an encounter that forever changed her life. Clotiel met a 14-year-old girl whose struggles and honest words deeply touched her heart. The girl expressed feeling as though there was no hope for her future. While she connected with her siblings, she shared her discomfort with the environment in which their visits took place, leaving her feeling unsettled and discouraged.
That encounter sparked a mission in Clotiel’s heart to create a space where children like this young girl could feel a sense of hope, safety, and belonging, a place where families could rebuild their bonds and discover brighter futures together.
Hope for the Future was founded in 2003 as an initiative to support children and families, but the vision officially came to life when its doors opened in 2016. Since then, Clotiel has worked tirelessly alongside the support of incredible partners and contributors to transform her vision into a place of hope, healing, and togetherness.
Our Mission
We provide a safe, welcoming, home-like setting where children in foster care engage in court-ordered supervised visitation and stay connected with their families.

Hands of Hope
At Hope for the Future, we organize handprint painting activities with every family as a meaningful and creative way to inspire unity, connection, and hope. This activity serves as a bonding experience, allowing families to come together and leave a lasting imprint—both on the canvas and in their hearts.
Our Life Tree
Our "Life Tree" is a powerful and heartfelt representation of the children we have served at Hope for the Future. Each cluster of pipe cleaners on the tree symbolizes a sibling group, honoring the unique connections and bonds shared by these children.
