Family Engagement & Visitation Support Coordinator

At Hope for the Future Visitation Center, our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, home-like setting where children in foster care engage in court-ordered, supervised visitations and stay connected with their families. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Coordinator will guide families through intake and orientation, curate engaging activities, support memory-making moments like handprint keepsakes and birthday celebrations, and collaborate with staff to assess needs for upcoming events and projects. This role also includes volunteer support, such as instructing pantry organization when donations arrive, and ensuring evaluations are completed to improve services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Family Visitation Support
Welcome families and guide them through intake procedures, including showing
and collecting signatures for the new client orientation video and visitation
guidelines.
Research and curate a variety of activities and resources for families to enjoy during
visitation, tailored to age, interest, and trauma-informed principles.
Support families during handprint and memory-making activities, ensuring
materials are prepared and moments are honored with care.
Organize, set up, and help host birthday parties for children, creating joyful,
personalized experiences that reflect dignity and celebration.
Ensure all parents, staff, and volunteers complete evaluations at designated points
during visitation to support continuous improvement.
Organization Collaboration
Collaborate with staff to assess needs for upcoming projects, events, and
fundraising efforts.
Maintain clear communication with the Founder/ Executive Director and
Administrative Assistant to align visitation support with broader organizational
goals.
Track family engagement activities and feedback to inform future programming.
Volunteer & Donation Support
Instruct volunteers in organizing the pantry when new donations arrive, ensuring
items are sorted, stored, and accessible.
Maintain a welcoming, organized environment that reflects HFTF’s values of
restoration, belonging, and hope.
