At Hope for the Future Visitation Center, our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, home-like setting where children in foster care engage in court-ordered, supervised visitations and stay connected with their families. Through organized visits, we provide spaces for family time to build trust and improve relationships, aiming for better futures. Rooted in faith and driven by hope, we strive to help transform lives by working directly with families in need, to foster trust, healing, and stronger connections, empowering them on their path toward reunification and a shared future.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The dedicated janitorial and maintenance team at Hope for the Future works behind the scenes to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. From routine cleaning and repairs to essential upkeep, their hard work keeps our facilities running smoothly and looking their best, allowing us to focus on our mission of serving the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Disinfect and wipe down furniture and tables in each room after each visit.

  • Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.

  • Clean hallways, lobbies, conference rooms, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, windows, and other work areas to meet health standards.

  • Clean floors through a combination of sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.

  • Waste removal, window cleaning, restroom maintenance, equipment cleaning, and minor repairs on simple equipment.

  • Keep storage areas stocked, clean, and tidy.

  • Replenish supplies in the kitchen and bathroom areas.

  • Sanitize toys after use.

  • Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed.

  • Report any issues to the Office Manager/Executive Director.

  • Attend all meetings as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Good physical fitness

  • Good communication skills

  • Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them.

  • Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces.

  • Ability to lift and move at least 40 pounds.
