At Hope for the Future Visitation Center, our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, home-like setting where children in foster care engage in court-ordered, supervised visitations and stay connected with their families. POSITION OVERVIEW
Our Receptionist/Front Desk staff is responsible for answering inquiries and obtaining information for general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties. This role will also provide information regarding activities conducted at the organization, location of departments, office, and employees within the organization. This role is responsible for checking in clients and completing required documentation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect, sort, distribute and prepare mail, messages and deliveries.
File and maintain records.
Greet people entering the building and determine the nature and purpose of this visit, and direct or escort them to specific areas.
Hear and resolve complaints from clients and the public
Operate business telephone to answer, screen, and forward calls, provide information, take messages, and schedule appointments.
Perform administrative support tasks such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, and operating Google suite.
Provide information about the organization such as location of building and offices mission statement, and services provided.
Transmit information and documents to clients using computer and email.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to give full attention to other and actively look for ways to assist.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organization and the ability to multitask to complete various tasks.
Flexibility to help adjust to new tasks should the company or office need to change.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with all employees, clients, or organizations stakeholders daily.
Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly.
Working knowledge of Google Programs
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse people.
